About the Artist

Emily Henry

Based in Mountain Home, Arkansas, I am a glass artist working across multiple disciplines, including stained glass, glass painting, glass fusing, glass bead making, and beginner-level glass blowing. My practice explores the relationship between glass and light, using color, transparency, and texture to create work that feels both expressive and meditative.

I have had the privilege of learning under accomplished artists such as Joseph Cavaleri (glass painting and screen printing on kiln-fired glass), Derek Hunt (traditional glass painting), Sam Drumgoole (beginning glass blowing), and Aya Oki (experimental glass blowing). These experiences have shaped my technical foundation while encouraging curiosity and experimentation within the medium.

Much of my work is inspired by nature, mental health, and color exploration. I am drawn to glass for its ability to transform light and emotion, allowing each piece to shift and evolve depending on its environment. In addition to creating, I have a strong passion for teaching and sharing my love of glass, believing in the importance of accessibility, community, and continuing the medium of glass.
